Services
JTN helps clients solve the unique challenges confronting existing renewable power projects.
Extensive experience at your service.
JTN helps its clients identify the best ways to improve each assets operational and economic performance.
POWER MARKETING
JTN has a proven track record of identifying and securing above market PPAs for projects facing contract expiration. Securing attractive long term PPAs is challenging. Power prices are currently depressed by low natural gas costs and falling prices for new solar PV projects. California’s complex legal and regulatory environment and the recent entrance of corporate buyers and Community Choice Aggregators further complicate the landscape. JTN has established relationships with these buyers and knows which may have appetite to contract with existing generation assets.
INTERCONNECTION
Over the last 15 years, JTN has managed the electrical interconnection process for dozens of projects representing approximately 2,000 MW of renewable generation capacity. JTN has worked with federal power agency, municipal, and investor owned utility transmission system owners throughout the West. JTN has particular expertise in California with both CAISO transmission voltage interconnection and with WDAT/Rule 21 distribution voltage interconnection. JTN also specializes in Qualifying Facility conversion for existing facilities interconnected in California. JTN’s extensive network includes top-tier electrical engineers and energy lawyers that can balance the scales with big utilities and ensure client’s secure good interconnection agreements.
